Looking Forward to a New Scouting Year. Our Troop is growing. We are learning and growing. Next school year and scouting year will look different then it has in the past. In these uncertain times we are adapting and changing as we go. We are growing stronger. Next scouting year we will be adding new Daisies, bridging New Brownies, and adding and Bridging Junior Girl Scouts. Our troop will go from being K-3 to being K-5. We are so blessed to be able to offer scouting to our local area girls. We have girls from two local elementary schools and we are creating life long friendships

We started off March with lots of meetings and cookies booths. We were going strong with our booths and learning many new things. We set a goal of 1500 cookies and we meet that goal just before the cookie season came to a halt. we were set up to reach our stretch goal and that was our new goal.
We didn't get to meet that goal, however we did sell 1, 605 boxes and the extra 72 boxes that we had left from the excess booths we will be donating as soon as we safely can. While our year ended sooner then expected we have been meeting online as a troop and our Daisies are still working on their petals as they are able to and our Brownies are working on their badges. As our leaders navigate the new "scouting" way for now we are all looking forward to the day we can physically see each other again. Until then we will scout on and continue to connect virtually as we can. |
AuthorHi, I am Amy and I am the Troop Leader for Troop 76961. I started this page as a way to help families in our community learn quickly how they can join girl scouts in our area. I was not given the opportunity to be a girl scout as a child and I decided to lead my daughters troop to make sure that she and her friends had a troop at our school that would work for them. I am enjoying being the troop leader and I glad I finally get to be a girl scout with my daughter. 2024 marks the start of my 7th year leading our troop on fun adventures. Archives
