As we wrap up the 2019 year, we finished working on our Think Like an Engineer and Cyber security Badges. We had so much fun learning S.T.E.M. We built marshmallow catapults that had us so engaged that we forgot about snack time. We also worked independently to watch the Thanksgiving parade to earn our Thanksgiving fun patch.
We collected donations for a dog shelter and delivered them to a drop off site that was local to us. December we had a snowman painting party and walked in our local Cool Yule Parade with our local sister scouts. We love learning new things and focus on having fun while learning. We also had a parent only cookie meeting, so we could starting earning our Financial leaves and badges next year. We wrapped the year up by starting to work independently on our My Faith My Promise pins, The New Cookie Pins Year 1, and our Winter Get Outdoors Challenge. We are looking forward to a fun filled 2020 with lots of new learning experiences and much more troop bonding.

AuthorHi, I am Amy and I am the Troop Leader for Troop 76961. I started this page as a way to help families in our community learn quickly how they can join girl scouts in our area. I was not given the opportunity to be a girl scout as a child and I decided to lead my daughters troop to make sure that she and her friends had a troop at our school that would work for them. I am enjoying being the troop leader and I glad I finally get to be a girl scout with my daughter. 2024 marks the start of my 7th year leading our troop on fun adventures. Archives
